Waltz to direct his first movie

    (IANS)

Oscar winner Christoph Waltz is to make his directorial debut with a German language movie 'Up and Away'.

The movie is an adaptation of Meike Winnemuth and Peter Praschl's novel 'Auf und Davon'.

Waltz has been writing the script for some time, and Fox International's Gabriela Bacher says it 'reflects Christoph's formidable sense of humor, and he might even star in the film as well,' imdb.com reported.

The story focuses on a ruthless woman dating a show host who 'finds herself in (trouble) when the show's romantic storyline bumps into her own feelings for a contestant.'

The fans might face disappointment as, 'the film will not necessarily be seen outside of German-speaking countries and he (Waltz) has so many projects on the way that there's a good chance he won't get to this one until next year,' Bacher added.
