    Saturday 4th September, 2010
    (IANS)

At least 87 kindergarten children fell ill after having food in a province in northwest China, officials said Saturday.

The illness was related to yogurt served at the Lantai Kindergarten in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province Friday, Xinhua reported quoting officials.

Children aged between three to five complained of stomach problems, diarrhoea, vomiting and fever at about 4 p.m. Friday, the Lanzhou city emergency response office said.

None of the children were seriously ill, and after medical treatment, 40 of them were discharged from hospital at noon Saturday.
